Don't yet have a home address? Using your employer's address is an easy solution!

For the BSN registration appointment you need to bring proof you are legally resident at a Dutch address (a rental contract, declaration of the owner of the address, or a purchase contract).

You cannot register at an address if your registration appointment is before the start date of your rental contract. You cannot register using the address of a hotel or Air BnB.

If you have not yet found housing, the easiest solution is to temporarily register at your employer's address. This is possible for 3 months maximum. When you find housing you will need to alert the municipality of your change of address.

You can only use your employer's address if:

  • Your registration appointment is with Leiden International Centre
  • You do not yet have a permanent living address in the Netherlandserken
  • Your employer's address is in the municipality of Leiden, Leiderdorp or Voorschoten
  • Your employer is on the list of recognised sponsors (see full list here)
  • You bring the completed employer's address registration form to your appointment
