The Personal Records Database (Basisregistratie Personen - BRP) is a government database which contains personal data of every resident in the Netherlands. Residents are required to notify the BRP of changes of address, births, marriages, deaths and other events that may affect their legal status or the government services which they are entitled to. The BRP is maintained by the Civil Registration Office.
An employee can make an appointment with us to register. This includes a 30-minute consultation with our helpdesk and a welcome bag with information about living in the Leiden region. A small fee for these services will be charged at time of making the appointment.
Alternatively, employers/HR departments and intermediaries can choose to schedule an appointment for international employees by using our online appointment system, either by paying the service fees online, or by quarterly invoice.
