If you are not yet fully vaccinated (or are in the process of getting your vaccination from another country approved) you can generate a certificate demonstrating that you have either:

- tested negative for COVID-19 within a specific timeframe
- have recovered from COVID-19 within a specific timeframe

These certificates are as equally valid as a vaccination certificate and can be generated in the CoronaCheck app (DigiD required) or may be obtained via an alternative route (see below).

Option A: Tested negative for COVID-19

You can make an appointment with one of the designated test facilities listed on the website: Testen voor je reis. A test is also possible without a DigiD with one of the designated commercial test facilities. Alternatively, testing is possible through the GGD (only with DigiD). In either case, tests are administered free of charge until 1st October.

Option B: Recently recovered from COVID-19

You must demonstrate a positive result from a PCR test conducted at a GGD site (government test centre) at a minimum of 12 days and a maximum of 180 days ago. The positive test result may be uploaded in the CoronaCheck app.

If you do not have a DigiD are invited to contact +31 247 247 247 to obtain a paper certificate. A recovery certificate is only accepted if the traveler has received the certificate from health authorities from an EU-country. For now, only PCR tests administered at a GGD are issued as recovery certificates.
