Tikkie

What is Tikkie and how to use the Dutch’s most preferred paying method? 

The online payment app Tikkie lets you pay with a QR code or send payment requests to people via WhatsApp. You will be prompted to transfer the funds through your online banking account as soon as you open the request or scan the code. Since Tikkie is very popular in the Netherlands, it might be in your best interest to become familiar with the app. 

How does it work?

Tikkie is very easy to use. If someone owes you money, you can enter the amount into the Tikkie app and then choose from your WhatsApp contacts who should pay. Then, a link is sent via WhatsApp to the person who owes money. Afterwards, you are directed to your current bank account through iDeal.
