Taalcafé
The library in Voorschoten organises a taalcafé (‘language café’) every Friday afternoon. As part of the Talk Dutch with Me Day, there will be a special language café on 9 October from 3.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.!
The taalcafé is a meeting place for people who already speak a little Dutch and want to practise their Dutch. Participants talk to each other in Dutch while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. The conversations are supervised by enthusiastic language volunteers.
At the same time as the language café, the library is organising a reading activity for children aged 0-6. This allows parents to speak Dutch undisturbed in the language café while their children lose themselves in a beautiful story being read aloud.
