Reflections on the Sea by the 19th century composers Elgar and Liszt with Franciscus walking on the waves and Elgar's 'Sea Pictures', a collection of songs on five poems by five different poets with mood images about the beauty of the sea in all its qualities.
Elgar set to music poems by Roden Noel 'Sea slumber song', Edward's wife Alice Elgar 'In haven, Capri', Elizabeth Barrett Browning 'Sabbath Morning at sea', Richard Garnett 'Where carols lie' and finally Adam Lindsay Gordon 'The swimmer'.
