Kleintje Pils Live at the Floating Ice Rink
Contact
From Verdi to pop, from jazz to hoempa, from Strauss to house, it’s all possible with the versatile party band Kleintje Pils. For fifty years, this colorful ensemble from the Bollenstreek region has been turning every stage into a celebration.
In 1975 they started as a carnival band, and have since grown into the best-known dweilorkest in the Netherlands and an international phenomenon. The musicians have performed in nearly forty countries: from Japan to Brazil, from Australia to China, from Africa to America. They played at two Elfstedentochten, eight Olympic Games, for the Dutch Royal Family, for the Pope in Rome, and during the wedding and coronation of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima.
It is extra special that Kleintje Pils will be performing on Wednesday, December 17th from 7:30 PM at the Floating Ice Rink. Their final concert in an endlessly beautiful anniversary year and a performance in their own region, where it all began. During this evening, visitors will be asked to donate their refundable cups to a good cause: the Willem Alexander Children’s Hospital, part of the LUMC.
