Banks will lend you money under certain conditions.
Banks may lend you a sum of money the equivalent of up to five times your annual gross salary if you meet the following conditions:
- You have a valid residence permit.
- You have registered in the Netherlands.
- You have a BSN (Burger Service Nummer).
- You have a Dutch bank account number.
- If self-employed, you are able to produce your Dutch company's financial records for at least one whole year and are able to prove future potential earnings.
You will find a wide variety of mortgages (hypotheken) on offer. However, do your homework and consult with friends, family or an advisor for recommendations to choose the ideal product.
