The Rapenburg Race 7th Edition

Leiden's Van der Werfpark will host the 7th edition of the Rapenburg Race this year. This swimming race takes place in the city's most famous canal and is dedicated to raising money for research into spinal cord injuries.
On 13 September, hundreds of participants will swim a distance of 800 metres to draw attention to this neurological condition, in which damage to the spinal cord often leads to paralysis and the use of a wheelchair. Proceeds from the race will go towards research aimed at improving the lives of people with spinal cord injury.
Both individual swimmers and teams can participate. For children, there will be the Kids Swim again this year for the 2nd time. Younger participants swim a shorter distance of 350 metres and have a chance to win fun prizes. All participants can get sponsored to raise even more money for charity.
Besides the swimming race, live music, food and drinks will be available throughout the day. Donations or signing up for the race can be made at www.rapenburgrace.nl.
