Observatory Tour

During the tour, an astronomy student will take you to one of the oldest telescopes in the Netherlands, located in one of the domes right next to the Old Observatory. You'll learn more about the rich history of astronomy in Leiden and get an explanation of the Plants & Planets exhibition.

Where should I be?

The tour begins on the square in front of the Old Observatory. If you're already in the Hortus Botanicus, please report to the Old Observatory reception desk 10 minutes before the tour starts. The tour guide will meet you there before gathering at the official starting point.
