A museum visit can give many impressions: sounds, moving images, crowds or bright light. That is why Naturalis organizes a low-stimulus day for families.
During this opening, the museum ensures fewer visitors, a quiet atmosphere, dimmed lighting and softer sounds, and a quiet room for relaxation. No school groups will be present. The day is intended for families in which one or more members are sensitive to stimuli, for example due to autism, ADHD, acquired brain injury, or high sensitivity. However, other visitors are also welcome, provided they respect the quiet setting.
