DSFW in the neighborhood: Decorate your own clothing or accessories with Palestinian cross-stitch

In collaboration with Kringloopwarenhuis Leiden and de Stofbond, we are organizing a unique Upcycle Workshop where we demonstrate that creativity knows no waste.

We start by practicing cross-stitch embroidery with a single floral motif on a small piece of cross-stitch canvas (fabric). Next, you attach the canvas (fabric) cross-stitch fabric to the garment you wish to decorate. This can be done on a sweater cuff or a scarf. Choose from a number of single motifs or combinations of motifs.

Come along, meet neighbors, and discover how fun and easy upcycling is. Together, we will make reuse the new standard!

Practical information: No experience is necessary; materials are provided. Bring your own garment!

Threads, needles, scissors, and other materials are available.
