Volunteer&Mingle

The city of Leiden has been always welcoming to people from all backgrounds, and as internationals we know how precious community support can be. For this reason, the Leiden International Centre is organising one morning of volunteer work to give back to this beautiful city and its people. With the help of Stichting Present, we will be working to fix up house gardens in the city, helping someone who has little network, few financial resources and who is psychologically or physically unable to do the job themselves.

We will all meet at 10:00 and will be divided into smaller groups to work on a garden each (about 5 people per garden). We will be providing the tools, refreshments and explain what needs to be done! After the work is done, if you want you can join a gezellig mingling moment all together!

If you are new to Leiden or have been living here for quite some time, this is a nice chance to give back, do something good and at the same time meeting new people. And if you like the experience, maybe you can consider other volunteering opportunities in and around Leiden!

To be able to arrange the groups we need to know how many people will be joining, so make sure to register and cancel if you can't come anymore by sending an email to sibilla@leideninternationalcentre.nl. If you don't show up without notifying us in time, you won't be able to register for our community events for the period of three months from the date of the no-show (this measure does not include Meet&Mingle events).
