BUTFF x CULTfilm – The Box Trap

Welcome to BUTFF x CULTfilm, a series of films like no other! BUTFF is a unique film festival for B-movies, underground and trash films, held twice a year in Breda. Because these films are rarely screened elsewhere, Theater De Generator will host a series of screenings, selected by BUT programmer Dani van Duin. Each screening features an eye-opening introduction by Dani, and in some cases, the director will also stop by to give more info about the film.

11 September – The Box Trap – Meg Poveromo

Jess is a delusional, self-absorbed woman in her twenties who has never imagined a future beyond bartending at The Box Trap, a failing lesbian karaoke bar. When unexpected chaos unfolds, Jess must find an ordinary job and venture into the draining realities of the real world, leading her through an unusual Canadian bakery, a new unfortunate roommate, and the constant, inescapable consequences of her own past actions.
