Volunteers Needed for Ukrainian Refugees

| Leiden International Centre

Incluzio is currently looking for volunteers who can help Ukrainian refugees in the Leiden area with language related assistance. The Gemeente Leiden is taking care of 400 Ukrainian refugees in several shelters throughout the city centre, and there are two areas that volunteers can be especially beneficial in to ensure a smoother integration process.

Translators

There are walk in consultations for health and administration questions at different times throughout the week. Incluzio is looking for extra volunteers for their translators pool, who are available in the mornings to assist with translating Russian or Ukrainian into Dutch or English. The volunteer coordinator prepares a schedule every week depending upon what is needed, and you are able to decide your availabilities each week.

English Teachers

Informal Dutch and English classes have begun to assist Ukrainian refugees with their language skills. As there is a high demand for these, Incluzio would like to organise extra English classes and are therefore looking for more volunteer teachers. Although former experience is preferable, it is not necessary. Incluzio will provide all the needed materials for the classes. They are also looking for individuals with coordinating skills.

For both volunteer translators and English teachers, the times you will assist are dependent upon your own availabilities and there is therefore some room for flexibility.
