Leiden Exposed exhibition
On June 1st there will be an official Opening for the Leiden Exposed exhibition! At the exhibition, you will be able to see 'Leiden, Metropolis' by Koen Suidgeest in the Stadsfoyer.
Koen Suidgeest was a city photographer in Leiden from 2021 to 2022. He published a weekly portrait photo in the Leidsch Dagblad, portraying the diversity of Leiden residents. This resulted in a series of 52 photos that provide an insight into the international character of the city and the many internationals who live in Leiden. The special stories he collected and documented were published weekly in the Leidsch Dagblad. The photographs and stories were eventually bundled in the book 'Metropolis Leiden'. During the exhibition in the Stadsfoyer, Suidgeest will show a selection of these photos and present his book during the opening of the exhibition (June 1st from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm).

With exhibitions in the Stadsfoyer, Cultuurfonds Leiden wants to showcase a diverse range of makers who are engaged with the city. Both established and starting creators, from artist to poet, from photographer to passionate enthusiast and from loners to socialite. Artist Emma van Noort will be curating the new exhibitions in the near future.

- Opening: 1 June from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Alderman Fleur Spijker and Guido Marchena, director of the Leiden Cultural Fund
- The opening will be in English.
- The exhibition can be seen throughout the month of June in the Stadsfoyer on working days from 9 am to 5 pm.
- Entrance = free
