The Royal Dutch Scam - Things About Sting

This theatre show is formed around lead singer and saxophonist Lo van Gorp, one of the very best Dutch session musicians. Lo van Gorp and his band The Royal Dutch Scam are venturing into the repertoire of Sting and The Police with an eye for detail.
Perhaps it is the attention to detail that has given Sting such perseverance. His more than thirty-year musical career includes 17 Grammy awards, more than 100 million records sold and some of the most memorable songs written during that period, including Roxanne, Message in a Bottle, Englishman in New York and Fields of Gold.
The songs are played with respect, though they are also regularly given their own twist. You’ll listen to a combination of the stubborn punk/reggae/rock songs of The Police and the impressive atmospheric songs of Sting. To captivate you, to take you back to your younger years and to enjoy craftsmanship.
The band members are the crème de la crème of the Dutch musician scene. You may recognize them from the Metropole Orchestra, Marco Borsato, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Michiel Borstlap, Alain Clark, Frank Boeijen, Ilse DeLange, Gino Vannelli and more.
