Following our sold-out run of The Seagull, Leiden English Theatre is back with 'Couch'; a new play by Jacquelyn Poplar and Robert Leeds.
Similar in format to their previous hit play 'One Table, Two Chairs' which premiered in Amsterdam in 2017. Couch uses short scenes and monologues to examine the fictions we have about ourselves and the world around us.
Follow a couple trying role-play to spice up their marriage, a woman confronting her imaginary friend from childhood, and patients of young psychiatrist who is ill-equipped to deal with their delusions.
Sometimes the battleground between fantasy and reality is soft and comfy.....
